I'd be afraid to wear any fur in our country because some groups can get pretty nasty about it. However, when I was in Siberia for New Year's eve one year (no kidding--I took a group of high school students there for a Soviet sponsored winter trek) I gladly purchased a fur hat and wore it there. It's the wind in Siberia!!

I feel uneasy looking at all that fur. I wonder if I'd feel easier were I to be feeling cold in Kiev in wintertime?
