It is rowanberries, mountain ash, what our family missed in New Zealand. I used to eat them when found in the autumn forest.
I like your blog, it is a fresh view, different from opinions of locals. Your "rustic" door is an ordinary door, most of them in Kiev are similar. Great job!
And have you ever taste salted salo (lard)? It is delicious!
is the name of the river Dnipro in English? We call it Dneper (we write: dnyeper) which sounds soooo wonderful slavic to me.:)
Super photo, and nice of Victor to let us know of his childhood rememberance of them. Your blog may be a nice reminder of home to an expat like him. . .
