(Podil Pt. 2) As we walked through the muddy, unpaved streets I was continuously amazed by the colors of the buildings. Peach, teal, olive green, deep burgundy...colors you would never see in North America!
Maybe San Francisco....but you're right-not too many places in North America sport such dramatic color! I love the contrasts between the two sides of the street too!
The colors of those houses are so vibrant and bright, I, too thought of the "Painted Ladies" of San Francisco. But of course, those houses are wooden Victorians, while these are pastel palaces. I'd never have imagined that Kiev contained streets with rainbows of houses.

Old houses can be very colourful and beautiful even if surrounded with mud!
